A climbing tour of a special kind, because the climbing route on the Jägichnubel can be described as unique. This is because there are very few routes in the Alps where you can climb a three-thousand-metre peak on compact rock for 18 pitches in 3rd and 4th grade. A route with a summit experience at 3,124 m above sea level.
The route was first climbed in 1926 and had been completely forgotten since then. In summer 2012, Christian Josef Tscherrig, son of Peter Tscherrig, and his friend Daniel Lustenberger (Kriens) revived the route. They installed over 80 bolts to secure the route and set up a perfect abseil slope for the descent.
The approach from the Anenhütte is well marked and the start is easy to find. The tour has an easy and clear route with an alpine character. The backdrop that accompanies the climber, characterized by glaciers and mighty peaks, is very impressive.
