Mountain guide and hut warden Peter Tscherrig explored a new trail in early summer 2013 and built it in a "packer week" with the support of many volunteers. The trail has since been included in the national hiking trail network.
The trail leads from Fafleralp via Grundsee to the Lonza bridge, which you reach and cross after about an hour's hike to continue towards the Anenhütte. After a further half hour in the direction of Anenhütte, a blue signpost indicates the start of the glacier adventure trail. The trail markings change from red and white to blue and white (alpine hiking trail). Cross the Anenbach stream over moraines and past the glacier gate. The trail continues over glacial polish on long gneiss slabs and, for attentive hikers, past a small glacier mill. This varied alpine hiking trail, lined with interesting mountain and glacier scenery, is also a special treat for experienced mountain hikers.
The trail is very well marked and developed, not technically difficult, but you need to be sure-footed.
Note: The glacier adventure trail should be avoided in rain or wet conditions.

An alpine trail, which was opened up and marked by Prisca and Peter Tscherrig-Schäppi in the fall of 2010, leads past the idyllic Anensee lake, over a bridge into a barren mountain world up to the Langgletscher glacier.
The use of blue and white marked alpine paths is always at your own risk, as in this case. The markings show you an easily accessible route to the Langgletscher. This path has been marked to the best of our knowledge and belief. However, those responsible at the Anenhütte accept no liability. All decisions regarding tours, routes etc. are the responsibility of the guest. Any liability on the part of those responsible at the Anenhütte for damage of any kind that may result for the guest from walking this path is excluded.
