Packing week

Expected mid-June

It is impossible for a hut warden to carry out the work required in an alpine mountain hut alone. As every year, we organize a pack-up week at the start of the season. Volunteers, without pay but with a lot of enthusiasm and in return for board and lodging, help to carry out important environmental work. There are "Anpacker" who have been offering their great services at the Anenhütte for more than 9 years. Wonderful and solid friendships have developed here in the meantime.

Work to be done:

• Repairing and marking hiking trails
• Set up new signposts
• Flushing water intakes and securing dams
• Various work around the hut

Requirements profile for the Anenhütte packers

• Minimum age 30 years (male or female)
• Good physical condition (can get to work)
• Team player (working well together)

After work comes the pleasure! The packers are looked after by the hut team, the aperitif beer and the best Valais wine as a nightcap are guaranteed for the packers. Detailed information (PDF)
