Concept
Peter Tscherrig, engineer and constructor of the Anenhütte, accounts for the high-level design, the detailed planning of the project, the elaborated infrastructure as well a for all the technology used at the Anenhütte.
Drinking Water Supply
Our own pure mountain spring (800m above the lodge) produces water throughout the year and provides the Anenhütte with pure spring water. A complex pipe system that leads the water to the lodge allows us to offer the freshest drinking water to our guests.
Energy Supply
High up on the mountain, close to the glacier, the water is collected and desanded. A pressure pipe of the length of 920 m (PE 315/200mm) feeds a Pelton turbine (15 bar) which is located in the turbine building about 220m east of the Anenhütte. This turbine provides the lodge with reusable hydraulic power.
Wastewater Disposal
A mulitlevel biological purification system, located below the lodge, cleanses the wastewater. The purified water seeps away on a controlled way.
Waste Disposal
We separate and recycle the waste (rubbish, glass, aluminium, PET, cardboard, paper, compost). Once a week a helicopter brings up fresh food. On its return flight, it takes down the waste to the valley, where it is properly disposed.
