Hiking time round-trip: 2 hrs

In autumn 2010, Prisca and Peter Tscherrig opened up and marked a new alpine path. Starting at the Anenhütte, it passes the idyllic Anensee, leads over a bridge into an austere mountain landscape and reaches directly to the glacier (Langgletscher).

You will be hiking on an alpine hiking trail, which is marked by blue-white stripes. The marks will show you a well walkable path to the Langgletscher, built to the best of our knowledge. Still, please be aware and keep in mind that you are on the go on your own risk and that you bear the responsibility on your decisions regarding the tour and the choice of the route. The persons in charge of the Anenhütte refuse any liability for damages of any kind that may occur to you by using the glacier trail.

Hiking time round-trip: 3 hrs

Like a stairway to heaven! Steadily and evenly, you walk up the moraine in the direction to “Jägichnubel”. The view broadens and every ten minutes a new vista opens up until finally the Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe (4'810m above sea level), shows up in its full beauty.

Hiking time back and forward: 15 minutes

Calm, idyllic and full of joie de vivre, the Anensee is a place to linger and enjoy.

Simply great!

Hiking time back and froward: 45 minutes.

In the dusk, the ibexes living above the Anenhütte return to a hollow close by to stay there overnight. From a safe distance and yet very close, you can admire these powerful and fascinating animals without disturbing them.
